News from the Heritage Commission

Our annual Mont Vernon Village calendar sale is up and running. Calendars are $20 each and feature photos of Mont Vernon taken by Mont Vernon residents. Prepaid orders are accepted on the Town website under the Heritage Commission page in the subheading “Donations” or by following this link https://pay.eb2gov.com/Service/POS/1383?towncode=644&groupname=123733&source=PS&towncodemasterid=291 . Prepaid orders can be placed in person with cash or check made out to the Mont Vernon Heritage Commission, Monday through Thursday, 9am to 3pm. Calendars are expected to arrive the first week of December and can either be picked up at Town Hall or delivered to your mailbox.

All proceeds go to the Heritage Fund and be earmarked for the Town Hall Rehabilitation Project. Our Town Hall is sorely in need of structural repairs, mechanical upgrades, ADA compliance updates and building envelope repairs. The goal of the Heritage Commission is to raise most of the needed funds through grants, donations, and fundraisers. If you have an interest in reviewing our most recent Condition Assessment which details the scope of work required, you may do so here https://www.montvernonnh.us/heritage-commission/pages/2022-town-hall-condition-assessment. You can donate to the Town Hall Rehabilitation at https://pay.eb2gov.com/Service/POS/1383?towncode=644&groupname=123733&source=PS&towncodemasterid=291, by mail addressed to Mont Vernon Heritage Commission P.O. Box 444 Mont Vernon, NH 03057, or in person at the Town Hall from Monday through Thursday 9am to 3pm. Your donation may be tax deductible: Speak with your tax preparer for more information.

If you’d like a tour of the Town Hall to see the building in person, please reach out to the Heritage Commission via email at heritagecommission@montvernonnh.us to schedule. Be advised that some areas of the building are not suitable for those who are mobility impaired, and the museum is not always accessible.
